Epic New Fan Made Trailer + Last Day Before Greenlight Picks!
Lots of news for today. Too much for the title. First! KuleDud3, the guy who brought you the Guncraft Newbies video, has made another fan made trailer, showcasing our previously unannounced game mode, Racing! We showed him this privately and apparently decided to do an epic trailer for it. It parodies the best cart racer ever made, Mario Kart, and is too effin cool for words. You'll just have to see it for yourself here.
Next. Be sure to upvote us on Steam Greenlight or use this link to directly open your Steam client (may not work in Chrome). We really, really, really want to get into the next wave of Greenlit games, and can't do it without YOUR HELP! So go to the website and simply click "Yes." It will literally take you all of five seconds and is the single most important thing you can do for us, other than purchasing the game.
Lastly. There is only 2 weeks left of beta left! That means all you free users will have to either purchase the game or just enjoy the last two weeks. We are gearing up for release and that means moving on to support only paid users (we gotta eat!). To commemorate the end of a long beta process, we are giving away a Survival Pack to ALL users who sign up before we shut down beta. This pack includes a melee weapon, gun, and skin. The melee weapon has been announced, and it is a Hatchet that acts similarly to the regular Pick Axe. So sign up, play some games, and earn yourself some exclusive SWAG!
Anyway, again, please UPVOTE US ON STEAM and we will love you forever. Block and load everyone! It's going to be a fun month!

Welcome Thorsin, new Community Manager!
We'd like to welcome Thorsin to the Guncraft team, as a Community Manager! Most of you know him, as he's quite the regular.
He's been an integral part to our development, from the user side. He's posted tons of bugs, with videos, outed hackers, done unique forms of promotion for our game, and has even started several fan pages that have been actively updated. Not to mention he's one of top players in the entire game. Definitely gives us devs a run for our money (and now he's on our team >:D).
You'll be seeing him man our Facebook, Twitter, YouTube, forums, and a new Twitch channel. Read up on his introduction and plans here.
So when you see him in game, tell him hi, play some rounds with him, and ask him lots of questions. He's here for all you guys, so let's give him a warm welcome
.
Build 0.40 is out now!
This build brings some significant changes to the jumping mechanics. Our Guncraft pros showed us how annoyingly imbalanced our free-form aerial controls were, so we fixed them! Jump mechanics are now momentum based, similar to that of Halo. As a by-product, hookshotting has become a heck of a lot more fun and Spiderman-like, as you maintain your momentum when you let go of the hook.
We've also included a bunch of tutorial images for the game modes. This should help newcomers jump in without being super confused the first few rounds. There's a bunch of other polish changes and additions as well. You can check them out below.

-Someone who has worked on an Xbox retail, XBLA, or XBLIG title is a plus.

Guncraft: Foundry Kickstarter is Live!!

http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/exatogames/guncraft-foundry-for-ouya
The time has finally come. Massive moddability is now at your disposal, we just need your help to make it come to fruition. Guncraft: FOUNDRY Kickstarter is live! Take the casual community aspects of Guncraft, and bring them to your couch or on the go! Build maps, create your own skins, and possibly even craft your own guns and then upload them to play/use on the PC version of Guncraft, with all your friends.
ABOUT GUN CRAFTING (yes we finally live up to our game's name!)
Gun crafting is something we've always wanted. The crème de la crème of modding features. We've always told you that modding is one of our end game goals, but we have to be careful about it due to balance issues. Well this is the modding feature that is going to change EVERYTHING. Make your own gun, iron sight, give it sound effects, then completely customize the stats of the gun for use in game. Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single game that's let you 100% customize the stats of a gun, for use in game, that was created by the actual developers. Do you want a shotgun style bazooka? How about a rapid fire sniper rifle? A vehicle obliterating chicken gun? A railgun blasting unicorn horn? These can all be yours with our incredible gun crafting tool. However, if we are going to make this feature, we need to go above and beyond with this Kickstarter. If you are as excited as we are about this feature, then I have no doubt we'll make it a reality!
ABOUT SKIN EDITOR
More modding?! Well we claimed Foundry to be the ultimate companion to Guncraft, we meant it. Here you'll be able to create your own skin using a pixel paint editor and while you're editing it, you'll be able to see a 3D model of the character updated in real time. You'll then upload it to our moderating team for approval, and assuming you haven't drawn some vulgar or trademarked material, you'll get to use and share it with all your friends!
ABOUT MAP EDITOR
Well this is pretty standard if you've played Guncraft at all. We are essentially porting the entirety of Free-Build mode over to Guncraft. Use your excellent creative skills to shape, warp, and mend the environment into a beautiful creation of your imagination, then share it online for the world to play! If you make something truly extraordinary, us devs may even feature it in our official map lineup!
This is YOUR game, so if you want it to come to life, we need YOUR help. Pledge, share with your friends, or both. Prove to us that modding is what the user wants and lets make Guncraft: Foundry a reality!
VERSION 0.33 RELEASED. LET THE ONSLAUGHT BEGIN!
This is a build we've been extremely excited about finally releasing. After a LOT of hard work, our first publicly playable build of Onslaught Mode is ready to be tested by you awesome people! Try this 4 player cooperative mode online, in LAN, or even play by yourself! It scales appropriately, so you are capable of playing this solo, though it will be more fun with friends. Try playing on the new map, Blockskrieg, for an easy-mode intro to game, or if you're feeling mighty brave, try playing it on PAX Level 6. You'll see why that is one of the hardest Onslaught levels in the game...
There is one catch. You must have a pre-order account to play this mode. We need to start shying away from our 100% free-to-play model, to gear up for our full, paid release in January. So if you want to play this amazingly epic, cooperative mode, you'll have to pony up a measly $10. The next release with ground vehicles will follow the same thing. To access the upcoming THREE ground vehicles that will be released in the next patch, you will need a pre-order account.
There are two other awesome features finally in too. Private messaging and FRIENDS LIST! You can now see when your friends are online, what server they are in, and private message them to tell them to come play with you! This is step one towards the implementation of the clan system. Right now it's all using slash commands (/friend, /msg, etc...), but eventually we'll have an easy to use UI.
Here are the full patch notes (also, get the full list of slash commands here):
0.33 Beta 12 - You asked for Zombies - we give you spiders (and more)* Onslaught mode - our survival mode. ** AVAILABLE TO PREORDERS ONLY ** Onslaught mode can be played in single player or networked with up to 4 players* Friends are now available - click Clans/Stats to add friends... coming soon* Private messaging using /msg {name} in game and in lobby *** KNOWN ISSUE: this doesn't work for usernames containing punctuation **** New Map - Blockskreig* forceHiDef command line parameter to allow older machines to attempt to run the game - it wont work for everyone. Just add forceHiDef (case sensitive to the end of the shortcut you use to run the game. *** Unsupported, use at your own risk, dont complain if it crashes your game, it will probably run slowly, no whining allowed **** Lots of optimisations * Lots of bug fixes.
P.S. Versions .31 and .32 were private releases. That's why we skipped to .33
.
BLOCK AND LOAD!
Guncraft Version .30 OUT NOW!
This is a big update. We haven't released something like 3 weeks, so there's lots of new, awesome stuff in game! Plus, to commemorate the release of Halo 4, we organized with some Minecraft creators to bring in their re-creations of some famous Halo 1 and 2 maps. You'll have to actually play Guncraft to see which ones though
. Here's the change-log of epic features for the new build!
0.30 Beta 11 - Anyone for Spleefing?
- Spleef mode and 2 new spleef levels - let us see your designs!
- Siege mode reinvented. Be the first team to build your trebuchet to win!
- Lava mode - 'dead' players now have limited griefing abilities on live players. They can delete 1 block every 10 seconds. Grief away!
- Some new maps inspired by.... well you work it out
- Grenades do more damage - they should kill more often. AoE for glue/gunk increased
- Miner bonus - Swords being able to place prefabs has been replaced with the drill now becoming automatic.
- Hopefully a fix for the sound 'popping' - again let us know
- Field of view slider
- You can disable swear word filter if you choose. (Note that we will still kick and ban people who abuse others/cross the line)
- Lots of memory optimizations - hopefully less Out Of Memory crashes
- Many other crash bugs fixed too...
- - Including a couple in standalone server
- - infinite jetpack fuel fixed
- - sprint parachute sprint exploit also gone

Exato Games is HIRING!
We need an artist! You don't have to live in the Seattle/Lynnwood area, but if you do, that's great.
This is a contract-based job, though if you are in the Seattle/Lynnwood area, we can discuss full-time. It involves 2D art, 3D modelling, texturing, rigging, animating, and possibly video editing (trailers and such). It's very light on the 2D art, so concept artists, please don't apply. It is for Guncraft, so you can get a good idea of what you'll be making by playing our game.
Qualifications:
-At least a bachelors degree in digital art.
-Excellent in 3DS Max or Maya with the ability to generate game-ready models (includes modeling, texturing, rigging, and animating). 3DS Max 2010 if you are to work in-house.
-Excellent in Adobe Photoshop CS4 or higher.
-The ability to come up with unique, original, and fun ideas for art, models, and trailers is a must.
-Knowledge of After Effects or some other video editing software, with a basic understanding of cinematography is a plus.
-Being an avid FPS and/or Minecraft fan is a plus.
-A hard working, diligent attitude.
-The ability to work well with a team.
-Willingness and motivation to learn unknown subjects quickly.
-Someone who has worked on an XBLA or XBLIG title is a plus.

Steam Greenlight + PAX Prime News
Hey! We have a new update!
First of all, we are on STEAM GREENLIGHT. That means we need your help to upvote our game. This is very, very important to us, so we'd really appreciate if you guys would do it. Plus, you'd have our game on your favorite distribution platform. It's a win-win!
PAX Prime was also a huge success. We had very few moments where our computers were unused. We also got tons of praise. We expected at least some people to be like "ugh a Minecraft clone" but the reviews were glowing! There were several people that came up to us and told us Guncraft was their favorite game at ALL OF PAX. What an honor that was to hear! It really drills in that the game we are making is worth making
.
Our next big milestone is the IGF submission deadline in October. We hope to have all in game features complete (so no friend list, clans, leaderboards) by then with a significant amount of polish done. That means Tanks and Onslaught Mode (our horde mode equivalent, playable in singleplayer or coop multiplayer) are our next big tasks.
I will keep this update short, since long messages are annoying to read, so please, again, go to STEAM GREENLIGHT and UPVOTE OUR GAME. You would be the best backers EVARRRRR if you did that!
